In 2021, we announced the construction of AquaFoz, in an area of 23,000 square meters, the Foz Aquarium, which will feature several tanks with freshwater and marine ecosystem species totaling a volume of approximately 3.5 million liters of water.

The new aquarium will give the public the opportunity to enjoy an immersive, educational, and enjoyable experience through the two main rivers of Paraná state, the Paraná River and the Iguaçu River, and also get to know freshwater fish species from other ecosystems formed along these rivers.

The attraction’s project is born with the mission of being an important center for biodiversity conservation, based on the tripod of Education, Research, and Conservation.

Operating as a local transformative agent with global impact, Aquafoz will collaborate with research institutes, Brazilian and international universities, and will conduct important research projects.

Expected to open in 2024.
